Overview

The Data Governance Program Manager is responsible for establishing, implementing, and managing comprehensive data governance standards and practices across our healthcare staffing organization. This remote position combines strategic data leadership with hands-on program management to ensure data integrity, compliance, and optimal utilization of business intelligence across all functions. Working collaboratively with the Data Analytics, Product, and Development teams, this role serves as the organizational champion for data quality, security, and governance best practices.

Responsibilities

  • Establish and lead a Data Council and Cross-Functional Governance Committees to oversee enterprise-wide data strategy, policy enforcement, and accountability
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a Data Certification Program and cross-matrixed Communities of Practice to promote data literacy and fluency across the organization
  • Define and operationalize data stewardship models, including Business and Technical Data Stewards with clear roles and responsibilities
  • Identify and formalize Data Domains, Trustees, and Owners to ensure structured data accountability and lifecycle management
  • Establish and maintain enterprise data policies and standards, ensuring consistent application across business functions and systems
  • Lead the implementation and ongoing management of a Data Catalog, enabling data discoverability, transparency, and governance
  • Facilitate enterprise-wide metrics alignment through the Data Governance operating model, including formal sign-off from the Data Council and cross-functional Lead Data Domain Stewards, Owners, and Trustees
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Analytics, Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technology, and Clinical teams to deliver integrated data solutions
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations including HIPAA, Joint Commission standards, and state-level requirements
  • Translate complex data insights into actionable recommendations for executive leadership and business stakeholders

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Information Management, Business Analytics, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in data governance, portfolio/program management, business intelligence, cross functional team leadership, or data analytics roles
  • Advanced knowledge of data management platforms, SQL, and business intelligence tools (Tableau, Power BI)
  • Experience with healthcare compliance requirements and regulatory frameworks
  • Strong analytical and technical skills with proven ability to manage complex data initiatives
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to present to executive audiences and technical teams

 

Preferred:

  • Master's degree in related field or relevant certifications (CDMP, DAMA, etc.)
  • Healthcare industry experience with knowledge of clinical credentialing and staffing operations
  • Experience with CRM platforms (Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics) and workflow design
  • Project management certification (PMP) or equivalent experience
  • Change management experience with ability to drive organizational adoption of new processes

  • Strategic Communication & Stakeholder Engagement: Skilled in translating complex data and governance concepts into clear, actionable language for executive and operational audiences
  • Change Management & Adoption Strategy: Proven success in driving enterprise-wide adoption of data governance initiatives, tools, and cultural transformation
  • Project & Program Management: Ability to manage large-scale, multi-stakeholder data initiatives from planning through execution, including governance sign-offs and cross-functional alignment

Pay Range

USD $130,000.00 - USD $160,000.00 /Yr.
