Group Product Manager - Job Description:

The Group Product Manager works on a fast-paced, innovative technology team to create industry-leading applications that are critical to Medical Solutions’ success. This is a leadership role responsible for overseeing a team of Product Managers and potentially leading their own scrum team. They play a central role in performing product discovery activities, gathering user insights, defining product requirements, and collaborating with Engineering and Design teams to deliver solutions that exceed customer expectations. The Group Product Manager combines strategic vision with operational excellence, ensuring the delivery of innovative, customer-centric solutions. The Group Product Manager collaborates with executives, stakeholders, and key clients to make informed prioritization decisions and work closely with teammates in Engineering and Design to create innovative products that align with the company’s vision and exceed customer expectations. The role requires fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and continuous discovery to align product initiatives with company objectives and to deliver measurable business outcomes. 

Responsibilities

  • Manage a team of Product Managers, providing coaching, feedback, and career development to foster high-performing individuals
  • Act as a role model for proactive communication, inspiring confidence and innovation within the team and across the organization
  • Build trust with stakeholders by consistently demonstrating ownership, reliability, and the ability to deliver results
  • Actively engage with stakeholders to anticipate needs, address concerns, and incorporate feedback into product initiatives
  • Product Discovery & Innovation
  • Own product discovery efforts, employing effective techniques to identify customer needs, test assumptions, and validate solutions before development
  • Foster a culture of user engagement by ensuring the team regularly interacts with customers and incorporates feedback into product strategies
  • Analyze competitive landscapes and leverage outside insights to identify opportunities for innovation
  • Coach team members on effective discovery techniques
  • Strategy & Roadmap Alignment
  • Develop a cohesive product strategy and roadmap aligned with company goals, balancing long-term vision with immediate deliverables
  • Proactively communicate product strategy to senior leaders, clients, and stakeholders, ensuring alignment and buy-in
  • Translate strategy into actionable roadmaps that prioritize work based on clear metrics and measurable outcomes
  • Execution & Delivery
  • Collaborate with engineering, design, and cross-functional teams to ensure timely and high-quality product delivery
  • Drive product launches by working closely with Sales, Marketing, Training, and Support teams to ensure strong user adoption and measurable impact
  • Monitor product performance metrics post-launch and leverage insights for continuous improvement
  • Continuous Improvement
  • Define success metrics and use data-driven insights to iterate and improve products continuously
  • Monitor product performance metrics post-launch, identifying opportunities for optimization and innovation
  • Seek out industry trends and insights, integrating new learnings into product strategies and processes

Qualifications

Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience
  • 7+ years of Product Management experience
  • 2+ years of people management experience with demonstrated ability to hire and develop high-performing product managers
  • Experience in the Healthcare Staffing industry, and strong familiarity with Vendor Management Systems
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to inspire confidence and align cross-functional teams
  • Demonstrated understanding of the techniques and methods of modern product discovery and product delivery
  • Demonstrated ability to align product roadmaps to business strategies and adapt based on data and market feedback
  • Familiarity with monitoring and analyzing key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure product success
  • Experience in fostering a culture of continuous improvement, leveraging outside learnings to enhance team and product performance

Work Environment:  

Medical Solutions strives to provide team members with the flexibility to work in the office or remotely. Typically, this includes the option to work remotely full-time, in the office full-time, or a hybrid between the office and remote. Generally, remote work will be available for a role that an employee can complete outside of our office environment. In a remote role, teammates can complete a majority of their tasks and projects using an internet-connected computer and phone. Please review the remote work policy for further guidelines. If a teammate is able to and interested in working in one of our offices, noise levels are generally quiet, and you will be required to sit and walk.
