Power Platform Solution Architect – Job Description
The Power Platform Solution Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing enterprise solutions using Microsoft Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio with Copilot Agents, and the Dataverse). This role focuses on architecting scalable, secure, and high-performance solutions that enhance business efficiency and digital transformation efforts.

 

The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders, IT teams, and developers to translate business needs into robust solutions. They will ensure best practices, governance, and compliance while driving innovation and automation across the organization.

 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with business leaders and end-users to understand pain points and recommend process automation and application development strategies, translating business challenges into technical specifications and solution roadmaps
  • Serve as the technical SME (Subject Matter Expert) for Power Platform, Office 365 and related Azure capabilities
  • Design and implement end-to-end Power Platform solutions, integrating with Microsoft 365, Azure, Dynamics 365, and third-party services
  • Develop enterprise-grade applications, automated workflows, and business intelligence dashboards that enhance operational efficiency
  • Enable seamless data exchange between Azure, Power Platform, Dataverse, SharePoint, Dynamics 365, and external APIs
  • Ensure intuitive, user-centric application design in collaboration with UX/UI teams
  • Leverage AI Builder, Azure Cognitive Services, and Copilot capabilities to enhance automation and decision-making
  • Design and implement intelligent Copilot Agents using Copilot Studio to streamline business processes
  • Establish and enforce Power Platform governance policies, security controls, and data loss prevention (DLP) policies
  • Define and implement role-based access control (RBAC), authentication, and authorization within Power Platform solutions
  • Develop a Center of Excellence (CoE) to empower and standardize effective Power Platform usage across the organization

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or equivalent work experience)
  • 8+ years of experience in enterprise IT solutions, with at least 4+ years focused on Power Platform architecture and development
  • Expertise in Power Apps (Canvas & Model-Driven), Power Automate, Power BI, and Dataverse
  • Strong understanding of Microsoft 365, Azure, SharePoint, and Dynamics 365 integrations
  • Experience implementing Power Platform governance, security models, and compliance controls
  • Solid knowledge of REST APIs, connectors, custom APIs, and Azure services (Logic Apps, AI Builder, etc.)
  • Strong consulting skills with the ability to bridge business and technical requirements
  • Hands-on experience with ALM, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps for Power Platform
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills

 

Preferred:

  • Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) or equivalent certifications
  • Familiarity with Copilot Studio Agents, AI-driven automation, and robotic process automation (RPA)
  • Background in healthcare, finance, or regulated industries

Pay Range

USD $160,000.00 - USD $180,000.00 /Yr.
