Overview

The Manager, Recruitment is a hands-on people leader responsible for achieving recruitment goals through leading, coaching, and developing a team of recruiters to deliver high-quality talent in support of business and client needs. This role blends leadership, execution, and strategic thinking to drive performance, elevate recruiter capability, and strengthen internal and client partnerships.

This leader builds strong, accountable teams through clear expectations, continuous coaching, data-driven decision-making, and a focus on quality, efficiency, and results.

Responsibilities

Performance Management & Results

  • Responsible for achieving goals as set forth by the business
  • Utilize tools such as Power BI, BetterWorks, and Excel to track, analyze, and report on key recruiting metrics and KPIs.
  • Monitor individual and team performance against goals and productivity benchmarks
  • Use data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
  • Address performance gaps through targeted coaching and development plans

 

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of recruiters (typically 12–17 team members)
  • Set clear performance expectations aligned to company standards and business goals
  • Conduct regular one-on-ones, performance reviews, and ongoing feedback conversations
  • Foster a collaborative, results-driven team culture grounded in accountability and growth
  • Support individual career development by identifying strengths, skill gaps, and development opportunities
  • Identify and develop high‑potential recruiters and team leads through targeted mentoring and coaching to support future leadership needs.

 

Talent Development & Hiring

  • Partner with Talent Acquisition to support recruiter hiring, referrals, and selection
  • Leverage professional networks, career fairs, and internal partnerships to attract and retain strong recruiting talent
  • Participate in interviewing and selection of new recruiters
  • Create and execute onboarding plans to accelerate recruiter ramp-up and performance
  • Identify training needs and deliver hands-on development for recruiting techniques, sourcing strategies, and execution excellence
  • Provide on‑site oversight of office regulations, operational requirements, and safety protocols.

 

Coaching, Training & Continuous Improvement

  • Coach recruiters on end-to-end recruiting execution, from sourcing through placement
  • Elevate candidate quality through coaching on candidate-to-job matching, profiles, and submission quality
  • Create a culture of continuous improvement through live call coaching, real-time feedback, and actionable guidance
  • Drive process improvements that increase efficiency and reduce friction in recruiter workflows
  • Implement and share best practices across the team to improve consistency and outcomes

 

Strategic Thinking & Problem Solving

  • Drive adoption and effective use of recruiting systems and internal technology platforms
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, client requirements, and regulatory standards
  • Identify and elevate awareness with senior leadership on active roadblocks and friction points impacting daily recruiting production
  • Creating consistency and clarity around controllable factors and best practices for effective desk-level operations.
  • Support change management and implementation efforts to enable scalable, sustainable recruiting operations
  • Review engagement survey results and team member feedback and develop action plans with clear follow‑through to drive improvement.


Relationship & Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong internal partnerships with sales, client success, and all operational support teams
  • Serve as a liaison for clinician and client issues, ensuring timely resolution
  • Collect feedback and support senior leadership in the development of strategic action plans following business, clinician, and client reviews
  • Demonstrate understanding of client delivery models (MSP, VMS, and direct) and partner closely with Client Success to drive results for key strategic accounts.

 

Qualifications

Required

  • 4+ years of recruiting experience preferred, including 2+ years in a leadership or people management role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field
  • Experience with performance management and team development
  • Healthcare recruiting and credentialing knowledge
  • Proficiency with CRM/ATS systems and data management tools
  • Experience driving process improvement and workflow optimization
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret metrics and performance data

Pay Range

USD $120,000.00 - USD $140,000.00 /Yr.
